What are some things that are essential to your travel experiences? Comment below and let me know what you guys think!
1. Packing cubes and packing folders(seriously you guys these little cubes will become your best friend)
These are an absolute must when traveling. If you haven’t tried them before, I highly recommend giving it a go. You will not be able to live without these once you try them! I know it seems ridiculous to put bags within bags, but these come in handy when you are like me and you love to travel but don’t want to sacrifice your style along the way
Recommendation: I buy mine off of Amazon. The more expensive brand is Eagle Creek but I am just as happy with my Hynes Eagle packing cubes. They make it so easy to stay organized and fit as much as possible into your suitcase. The link below is for a set of three and they are relatively cheap at only $16.99 for all three. I also love the Embassy 19 packing folder because it keeps your clothes from wrinkling and packs them really tight. I am able to fit all three cubes and the packing folder in my 21 inch carry-on perfectly!
I spent a week traveling to Brussels, Bruges, and Antwerp in Belgium during December. If you every want to feel like you are in a real life fairy tale, go to Bruges! It is so quaint and beautiful it almost doesn’t seem real. Oh and did I mention that you get to eat Belgian waffles with Nutella for every meal? Side note, don’t count calories in this country.
If you every get the chance to go to Croatia, DO IT! Out of every country I have been to, Croatia is definitely in my top five. It is picturesque with crystal clear blue waters, clusters of islands and cliffs sprinkle the coast making it the perfect place to get lost in adventure. And as if this country could not get any better, the people are extremely welcoming and nice. Oh and did I mention, it is dirt cheap! I stayed in a hostel on the beach in Hvar for $12 US dollars per night (I highly considered moving there permanently when I realized my rent back home per month was more expensive than living on the beach in Croatia).
I lived and studied in Stockholm for six months. It is a beautiful place with so much to see. There is no other country in the world like Sweden, but be forewarned it is PRICEY! I spent a lot of time traveling Sweden so if you have any questions of where to stay or what to see please don’t hesitate to contact me!
